In September 2021 I was elected by the constituents of Rushen to serve in the House of Keys. Since then, I've gained a lot of experience, acquired a lot of detailed knowledge, helped many constituents and Island residents and added a few grey hairs!
During my time in the Keys I have been a departmental member of DEFA, DfE, DHSC and Treasury, and for a period I was the Minister for DoI. I have actively contributed to developing, presenting and scrutinising legislation, policy and regulations including the Animal Welfare Bill, the plastic bag ban, improved child benefit rates, statutory parental leave, the bus service to the Sound, mobility scooter access to buses, keeping the Southern Pool open, pushing forward with the Castle Rushen High School replacement and getting the design completed for Port St Mary High Street's well overdue reconstruction, and lots more besides.
I declared myself as a candidate for the 2026 election in June 2026 and I would love to continue serving the Island on behalf of the constituents of Rushen.
I have visited over 99.5% of all the households in Rushen with a registered voter. If I missed you and you would like to arrange a meeting please get in touch.

The Rushen Constituency hustings will be held at Scoill Phurt le Moirrey at 7pm on Thursday 10th September.
The general election will take place on September 24th 2026. Polls are open from 8am to 8pm. You do not need to bring your polling card to vote. You can vote in any of the polling stations (Port Erin Methodist Church, Scoill Phurt le Moirrey or Ballafesson Hall).
